Over the weekend, I was busy taking photos for my shop and I decided it was an ideal time to finally listen to albums from the bands that I stumbled upon throughout the month. I'm glad I did, because now I am so obsessed with The Cheek, EL VY, and ADHDS. This week's playlist is concentrated on the newbies, but I threw in one from Swimm and The Bright Light Social Hour, too. I've had a lot of their songs on repeat ever since I saw them both in concert (they are incredible live, really incredible). I finished it off with a classic from Red Hot Chili Peppers. I don't think I've ever mentioned this, but I have been slightly crazy about them for as long as I can remember. I guess this little list has been propelling me through all of the preparations for Thanksgiving and easing me into the chaos surrounding Christmas shopping--which I am not the least bit ready for. I hope you enjoy this week's list and I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving.
about the photo: It all started with the bouquet of dead/dried flowers I collected while on a walk; I definitely wanted to capture its beauty somehow. I also felt like the time had come for another addition to my plants and humans series--another self portrait. For the past couple of days, all I could think about was utilizing a chair in a photograph, so I did. Somehow, I combined all of those separate ideas and took advantage of the gentle light creeping in from the window to come up with "Waiting", the newest piece in my series. xx
